A Case Against A.I

(2025)

Artificial Intelligence continues to seep into virtually every aspect of our lives. Increasingly, these models have been used to produce and replicate music, film, and visual art. But questions remain about what role it might play in the development of dance. How might dance, as an embodied experience and practice, resist a dependency on artificial intelligence? What does it mean to actively challenge its use to produce dance that is still rooted in humanness?
