Mia Shocket is a dance artist based in Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Emory University in 2024 with degrees in Dance and Movement Studies and Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. Her choreographic and performance thesis in dance was awarded Highest Honors. While at Emory, Mia performed in works by George Staib, Annalee Traylor, Julio Medina, Gregory Catellier, and her peers. Originally from Washington, D.C., she began her early dance training at C-Unit Studio in Maryland, where she studied a range of styles, focusing on technique and artistry, and competed with their nationally recognized dance company. In Atlanta, she has danced professionally with choreographers including Meaghan Novoa and Xavier Lewis. She is currently a company member with staibdance and Graham Shelor. Outside of dance, Mia teaches group fitness classes at CorePower Yoga and [solidcore].
