
Madison Lee
Madison Lee (any pronouns) is a queer, Korean American dance artist based in Atlanta, GA. They graduated from Emory University in 2024 with degrees in Dance and Marketing. There they were awarded Highest Honors for their dance thesis, fellowship in the John H. Gordon Stipe Society, and The Pioneer Award. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Madison trained intensively in hip hop and other styles and has performed with the Dallas Cowboys and Royal Caribbean Cruises. After coming to Atlanta, they began training in contemporary/modern techniques, and they have presented multiple works throughout their time at Emory and locally in Atlanta. Most recently they premiered NABI at Beacon Dance’s Moving Bodies, Moving Hearts, Moving Minds. Madison was also a Spring 2025 Meli Kaye co-resident alongside Chi Rung Chan where they created Lotus Take Notice. Currently, Madison is a company member with staibdance, Shelor Dance, Catching Mangoes Dance, led by Jacquelyn Pritz, and Excavate Body, led by Jacqui Hinkson. Outside of company work, they have had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Graham Shelor, Leah Behm, Page Yang, Leo Briggs, Julio Medina, Mychal Vandell, Annalee Traylor, Xan Burley, and Alex Springer.
