CHALLENGE YOUR BODY / CHANGE YOUR WORLD

Come learn and grow with one of Atlanta’s most recognized emerging dance companies. Through rigorous training in contemporary techniques and improvisational practices, participants will gain invaluable physical, creative and conceptual skills. Dancers will connect directly with GSD’s creative process by learning company repertoire, observing company rehearsal, and engaging in a Q&A centered on building a sustainable artistic career.

Graham Shelor Dance remains committed to broadening our artistic impact by providing accessible educational opportunities for young emerging artists. Led by Founding Artistic Director Graham Shelor, this intensive offers intermediate/advanced high school and collegiate dancers the chance to deepen their creative practice, cultivate their artistic voice, and expand their understanding of the field of contemporary dance.

MUST BE AGES 16-24 WITH INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED CONTEMPORARY DANCE TRAINING TO ATTEND.

4:30pm-6:00pm: Improvisational Practices

6:30pm-8:00pm: Open Company Rehearsal

SUNDAY DECEMBER 20th -

10:00am-11:30am: Contemporary Technique*

12:00pm-1:00pm: GSD Repertoire

1:00pm-2:30pm: Improvisational Practices

2:30pm-3:00pm: Artist Q&A/Closing Remarks
